Hi, my name is Oswaldo Bermudez, I’m a nutrition coach specialized on helping stressed, high performing tech professionals lose fat to achieve a hot and lean body through the 'Metabolic Recovery System' WITHOUT extremely restrictive diets, sacrificing social life, and energy-draining hours at the gym.
As a former anorexic, I suffered from an intense fear of gaining weight, this fear led me to follow extreme diets that required me to get rid of all foods that I loved, made me isolate myself due to feeling like others would judge the jiggly fat in my belly rolls, and encouraged me to starve myself for days to "hopefully" achieve a body I would no longer be ashamed of. It became a problem to the point of me suffering from anxiety attacks, tightness and pain on my chest that would make feel like I was suffocating. All of my efforts just made me feel terrible all the time, and at best, I was just able to achieve and maintain a "decent" body.
After some time, I learned of metabolic adaptation from NCI, and with my experience as a personal trainer, I was able to come up with a plan to recover my health, become stronger, and look better than ever before. This plan later became my 'metabolic recovery system' that I designed to help me and my clients lose weight and keep it off for good.
My formal background comes from the University of Texas at Arlington where I majored in biology. Soon after, I got certified as a personal trainer through ACSM and have trained clients for several years since then.
